Congerstone School

Congerstone Primary School was first opened in 1825 and has been enlarged and improved over the years. It is pleasantly situated in attractive countryside on the edge of the village of Congerstone.

The building looks out onto a large field and playground. Half of our pupils come from the villages of Bilstone, Congerstone, Norton-Juxta-Twycross, Odstone, Shakerstone and Twycross. We also welcome children from out of catchment area. Children living out of Congerstone but within the catchment area, may use the school bus service. Information is available from the school office.

It is a highly regarded and a successful school with an emphasis on retaining small teaching groups – currently there are 113 pupils on the roll divided into 5 full time classes plus a part-time qualified Nursery Nurse for 4 year olds.

In addition, a supervised pre-school parent and toddler group is available in the school hall on Thursday afternoons during term-time.
