Norton’s Diary at a Glance Village Hall MeetingWednesday 5th May 2010, 8pm -– All welcome. Wednesdays Keep FitIn Norton Village Hall 7:30pm Village Spring CleanSaturday 13th March Thank you to all who came and helped with the village spring clean. We had a very good turnout - hope everyone has noticed the difference now that everywhere is all spick and span! A great deal of litter was collected especially in Shelford Lane where two of the most unusual pieces of litter were found - the prize winner was an old bottle that had had horse linement in it found by Mark from the White House and coming a close second, a pottery jelly mould found by Linda Plummer. The Community Warden, Lisa Kirby, from Hinckley and Bosworth District Council came in a truck and after helping us and then joining us all for a well earned cuppa and piece of cake she collected all the full bags and took them away. If only people didn't throw litter in our lanes and village!!!! The Quiz NightSaturday 20th March Another brilliant evening and huge thanks to Ann and Kevin Moore for organizing and hosting it, also thanks to everyone that helped. The Fish and Chips were excellent and the questions were hard – as usual! How about sneaking some easier ones in next year Kev!! Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Bonnet ParadeSunday 4th April This was thoroughly enjoyed by children and adults alike, 23 children enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt which was followed by the Easter Bonnet Parade and tea and cakes back at the hall, all the Easter Bonnets were fantastic and judging was very hard. Many thanks to Sarah Roberts (and Pete of course!) for all her hard work in organizing and hosting this fun event.
