Having seen ‘Opera Dudes’ at Norton village hall previously I knew I was in for a great night’s entertainment and in a packed hall I certainly wasn’t disappointed. If anything I enjoyed their blend of comedy and music even more than before. From the opening number to the final encore I was captured by the wit and charm of this unique double act. Coming from very different backgrounds, one a music scholar and the other a bricklayer, these two performers have created an act that has something to please everyone. From classical opera tunes like ‘O Sole Mio’ to popular contemporary songs, from superb piano pieces to comedy sketches that had my sides aching, the whole evening was a gem of entertainment and one that I very much hope to repeat. Judging by the audience response I’m sure I will not be the only one in the queue for tickets! Phil S. 8-Feb-2010
